On May 20th Montana Rail Link was honored to host numerous law enforcement officers, State Attorney General Tim Fox and Special Olympiads on the final leg of the torch run into Missoula for this year's Special Olympics Summer Games. The torch met the Silver Cloud train in Bonner to transport the athletes and officers to the Missoula Depot, where they were met by the Hellgate High School band, media, family and friends and began their final run to the opening ceremonies through downtown Missoula. Montana Rail Link is proud of our employees who volunteered to assist throughout this year's Summer Games as well as all the MRL folks who made the train ride a memorable occasion for all involved. Combined with our special partnership with the Dennis and Phyllis Washington Foundation, we created a one-of-a-kind experience for Special Olympics athletes and their families. Special Olympic Coordinator Michelle Cobb had this to say; "Thank you for the incredible train experience with the athletes! The officers and athletes had a wonderful time and could not be more thankful for Montana Rail Link and the Washington Foundation's graciousness. It was the perfect start to a remarkable day! Thank you, Thank you!"
